Kyle Covington

Bio

Coach Covington graduated from The Colony High School in 2016, playing football for Coach Rangel. He also played basketball and ran track. He went on to play safety at The University of the Incarnate Word before graduating in 2020 with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, and a minor in Nutrition. Coach Covington then spent three years as a Graduate Assistant for the football team at The University of the Incarnate Word, coaching the safeties and earning his Master’s degree in Kinesiology in 2023. This will be Coach Covington’s 3rd year teaching and coaching at The Colony High School. He is engaged to his fiance Lexus Lozano and they have one son together Liam Karter Covington. His fiance is a teacher and coach at Marcus High School in LISD.
