Joe Hubener

Bio

Coach Hubener spent most of his early life in Kansas, graduating from Cheney High School in 2011. There, he was a three sport athlete, participating in football, basketball, and track. He continued his athletic career as a Quarterback at Kansas State University, where he graduated in 2016 with a degree in Secondary Education. During his time at K-State, he was a member of the 2012 Big 12 Champion team, a two-time Academic All-Big 12 selection, twice chosen by his teammates to serve on the team’s Leadership Council, and was inducted into the NFF Hampshire Honor Society. Coach Hubener earned his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Kansas State in May 2025. This season marks his ninth year in coaching and his fifth year at The Colony High School. He previously coached at Clearwater High School (KS), Nevada Community High School, and McKinney Boyd High School. This will be Coach Hubener second year as Offensive Coordinator, having previous experience coaching Quarterbacks, Runningbacks, and Receivers. Coach Hubener married his beautiful wife, Robyn, in 2017 and together they have a son, Jaxyn, who will turn two in October.
