Arlando Love

Bio

Coach Arlando Love was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, and raised in Plano, Texas, where he graduated from Plano East Senior High School. He continued his academic and athletic career at Hardin-Simmons University, and later earned his bachelor's degree from University of North Texas. Coach Love also obtained two master's degrees from Grand Canyon University. He is entering his 11th year in education and athletics. Over the past seven seasons, he has served under Coach Rudy Rangel in a variety of roles within the Cougar football program and now serves as Defensive Coordinator. Coach Love is very proud of his family and spending time with them as much as possible. His son, Anthony, was a member of the varsity football team for three seasons and was honored as the Outstanding Defensive Lineman in 2025. Coach Love credits much of his passion for education, mentorship, and athletics to the influence of his mother, Angelia Love, whose guidance helped shape the leader he is today.
